| Requirements: | 1) a heart for welcoming everyone to Grace with a friendly smile and warm greeting and 2) the physical ability to stand comfortably for half an hour and open doors for people entering or leaving the church. |
| Responsibilities: | Arrive at church about 25 minutes before the start of your assigned service and stand near the main entryway door(s) leading from the parking lot to the church foyer. Greet people entering or leaving the foyer and hold the door open for them as needed. When feasible to do so, assist people who need help getting in or out of cars near the entryway doors. | Comments: | We schedule greeters on a monthly basis at least 2 weeks before each month starts. Each greeter can select the service & date on which to serve, with 1 or 2 door greeters serving at each morning service. The typical frequency is once every 2 months, with a range from as often as twice a month to as little as once every 4 or 5 months -- depending on each greeter's interests and circumstances. |
